Iranian and Iraqi parliament speakers on Monday expressed outrage at continued Saudi crimes against humanity in Yemen by indicriminate bombardment of civilian targets killing several hundred innocent people since late March.

Iraqi Parliament Speaker Salim al-Jabouri in a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Ali Larijani decried deterioration of humanitarian situation in Yemen.
According to IRNA parliamentary reporter, in the conversation, Larijani said that Islamic states have a great responsibility to stop the humanitarian plight in Yemen and should have more mobility concerning the issue.
He expressed sorrow for continuation of crisis in Yemen and said that escalation of crisis in Yemen and killing of innocent people in the country injured sentiments of the Muslims worldwide.
The speaker called for regular consultations among the Islamic countries to stem bloodshed in Yemen.
He called for emergency meeting of parliament speakers of Islamic countries to study the extent of the humanitarian catastrophes.
Salim al-Jabouri by appreciating Iran’s efforts to settle crisis in Yemen said that Iraqi government and parliament have special emphasis to find a clear formula to resolve crisis in Yemen.
He thanked Larijani for his initiative calling for emergency meeting of Islamic countries parliament speakers to stop bloodshed in Yemen.
