Interested in developing cooperation with Siemens AG, Sisi

 SIS – MENA -President Abdel Fattah El Sisi highly praised what Siemens had accomplished in implementing development projects in Egypt, including the power plants in Beni Suef, Burullus area and the new administrative capital.

These remarks came on  Monday 19/2/2018 during Sisi’s meeting with Germany’s Siemens AG Company President and CEO Joe Kaiser in presence of Minister of Electricity and Energy Mohammad Shaker and Engineer Hany Azer, President Sisi’s adviser for transport affairs, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said.

Sisi expressed Egypt’s interest in developing the partnership with the German company in several fields related to the company’s expertise, including railways, renewable energy and transportation.

The President also lauded cooperation with the company in the field of technical training, stressing Egypt’s concern for take advantage of the abilities of Siemens due to its success in the Egyptian market.Meanwhile, the CEO of Siemens hailed the cooperation with the Egyptian government, which resulted in unprecedented scores in terms of project execution speed, size, cost, and applicable safety and safety standards, Rady noted.

Kaiser also praised the efforts of the Egyptians companies, which cooperated with Siemens in terms of efficiency and expertise.

He briefed the executive position of the three power plants, stressing the implementation process is conducted according to the fixed timeline, as 14.4 gig watt will be generated from the three power plants within the end of June 2018.

Siemens CEO reviewed the efforts of the company in training the Egyptian cadres in electricity and electronics domains, pointing out that the company began to set up its center for vocational training in Egypt and develop an institute of industrial education.

The meeting touched on a proposal to establish a university for the company under the name of Werner von Siemens in Egypt.

The university is supposed to be the first university to be established by the company in the world in to graduate specialized cadres with certificates accredited in the areas of specialization of Siemens including, technology, electricity and electronics, which contribute to prepare and qualify Egyptian cadres, according to the German system, the presidential spokesman added.
