Ambassador Suha Gendy, Minister of State for Immigration and Egyptians Abroad Affairs, received a delegation of journalists and media professionals from various media institutions, as part of efforts to present the strategy of the Ministry of State for Immigration and plans to link Egyptians abroad with the homeland.

For her part, the Minister of Immigration praised the work environment in the New Administrative Capital, and the technologies it provides to facilitate the work of the team, stressing that the New Administrative Capital is a giant historical achievement in the New Republic, to ensure effective communication between government institutions, and to serve the goals of sustainable development.

And the Minister of Immigration appreciated the efforts of the media institutions in conveying what is happening in Egypt in terms of achievements in various files, and introducing the efforts of the new republic, and said that we are working in full swing to serve Egyptians abroad of different sects, ideas and deeds, just as we care about the expert scientist, we care about the ordinary worker, women, youth, children and all groups. And linking everyone to the homeland, educating them about their rights and duties, resolving their problems, and emphasizing that they are the first line of defense for Egypt and ambassadors to convey a positive picture of what is happening in terms of real achievements in the new republic.

And the Minister of Immigration added that we are working on many files to serve Egyptians abroad, including the Egyptians Abroad Conference, which is witnessing a great turnout in its fourth edition, with the registration of Egyptians from all over the world, explaining that we are working to implement various recommendations.

The Minister of Immigration reviewed the ministry’s work strategy, which includes linking Egyptians abroad with the various efforts of the Egyptian state for sustainable development, pointing to the confidence of Egyptians abroad in the Egyptian state, which is demonstrated by the registration of about a thousand Egyptians abroad in the next version, which will start at the end of this July.

The Minister of Immigration referred to efforts to meet Egyptian communities around the world, as part of the “An Hour with the Minister” initiative, which contributes to listening to the opinions of Egyptians abroad and discussing their ideas and proposals, and then benefiting from those discussions and putting forward their proposals to the representatives of the Egyptian state to respond to them, in addition to introducing the various advantages, services and incentives. Available to Egyptians abroad from various quarters.

And the Minister of Immigration added that there is currently coordination to introduce Egyptian investors abroad to the proposals program presented by the Egyptian government, and to introduce them to investment opportunities in Egypt, and the promising areas that can be benefited from, in addition to the industrial investment map, the golden license, and other steps that provide facilities for Egyptians abroad.

And the Minister of Immigration added that the conference of Egyptians abroad will include 12 sessions in 3 axes: economic, political, educational, social and service, and preceded by a presentation of what has been achieved for Egyptians abroad over the course of a year, and introducing Egyptians abroad to what has been achieved from the recommendations of the previous version of the conference, stressing that actions are more important. Of the resonant words, and that this stage reflects the efforts of continuous and tireless work at all levels of the state.

The Minister of Immigration added that the economic session, in which the Minister of Finance will talk about the most prominent indicators of the Egyptian economy, and open a dialogue with the participants, in addition to reviewing the efforts of Egyptian banks to serve Egyptians abroad, introducing them to monetary policies, savings vessels, and how to achieve the executable demands of Egyptians abroad.

The Minister of Immigration indicated that the world witnessed economic disasters that affected all countries, and despite that, the Egyptian economy is witnessing good growth, according to international testimonies, noting that the investment climate in Egypt will be the focus of discussion during the sessions of the Egyptians Abroad Conference, in which the Chairman of the General Authority will participate. For investment, as well as what is related to the foreign investors company, and it is managed by Dr. Fakhr El-Feki, Chairman of the Budget Committee in the House of Representatives, witnesses the participation of investment experts and the core group to establish the company, and introduce Egyptians abroad to investment opportunities in the company and the shares available in the stock exchange for Egyptians abroad to subscribe.

The Minister of Immigration added that the core group for establishing the Egyptians Abroad Company includes Egyptian investors from several countries around the world, and they have very distinguished successes, and they will have 100% management.

The Minister of Immigration confirmed that the conference of Egyptians abroad will review the efforts of the Egyptian state to link Egyptians abroad and introduce them to what is happening at the current stage, as it is run by Ambassador Karim Darwish, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee in the House of Representatives, and Dr. , and the efforts of the political leadership to reunite in neighboring countries, and continuous communication with the brothers.

In turn, the Minister of Immigration continued that we are keen to introduce Egyptians abroad to the opportunities available to study in private and private universities in Egypt, within the education axis at the Egyptians Abroad Conference, and what the state offers to enhance the role of education, in addition to benefiting from the efforts of young Egyptian researchers abroad and transferring the experiences of scholars to Egypt, Among them are green energy, artificial intelligence, and other distinct fields, stressing that we look at the positive aspects of immigration from the localization of knowledge, the transfer of expertise, and the contribution to national projects with their expertise and knowledge.

The Minister of Immigration confirmed that the Minister of Education will discuss the “Our Children Abroad” programs, and the opportunities available to study the children of Egyptians abroad, within the sessions of the Egyptians Abroad Conference, as well as the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education and the Supreme Council of Universities.

The Minister of Immigration indicated that there is coordination with the Minister of Solidarity to talk about initiatives supporting Egyptians abroad, various savings vessels and support for various groups, in addition to the participation of Dr. Khaled Al-Attar, Deputy Minister of Communications, to present what has been done in the implementation of the “Egyptians Abroad” application, as well as the service axis, which includes officials from all ministries and state institutions to talk about the services provided to Egyptians abroad.

The Minister of Immigration confirmed that recommendations will be agreed upon for Egyptians abroad to follow up on their implementation, along with a program of visits to a number of national projects to convey the picture of what is happening in Egypt.

The minister reviewed training efforts for employment, through the Egyptian-German Center for Employment and Migration, opening foreign markets for Egyptian labor with a number of countries and providing fair and just employment contracts for young people, referring to the efforts of lifeboats and the provision of safe alternatives through training and qualification, stressing that this file has a priority and we are keen to Visiting 72 villages exporting illegal immigration, cooperating with the National Council for Women in training and raising awareness, as well as the Small and Medium Enterprises Authority, supporting entrepreneurs to launch, and training young people according to the needs of foreign labor markets.

Regarding the efforts of the Ministry of Immigration Center for Dialogue “Medci”, the Minister of Immigration stated that we are keen to benefit from the experiences of our researchers and youth abroad and link them to development plans, including their participation in the sessions of the 27th edition of the Climate Conference on ways to reduce carbon emissions and climate change, in addition to benefiting from the expertise of specialists. Among them is the development of educational curricula and their inclusion of the most prominent technological developments, referring to the efforts of young people in many natural disasters and their support for the Egyptian community.

Regarding the efforts of Egyptians abroad in supporting society, the minister explained that there are honorable efforts for Egyptians abroad to participate in the development of society, including support for the governorates that export the most illegally, within the presidential initiative “A Decent Life”, in addition to the efforts of Egyptian doctors in the presidential initiative “100 Million Health” And medical convoys in a number of governorates, as well as the initiative to support a number of first-aid villages, and donating a number of medical devices to a number of medical institutions in Egypt.

In the same context, the participating journalists and media professionals explained that there are great efforts made by the Ministry of Immigration to serve Egyptians abroad and link them to the homeland, praising the distinguished incentives provided by the Ministry to serve the citizens abroad, and to provide various services, in cooperation with the ministries and state institutions in a harmonious symphony aimed at citizens.

Journalists and participants dealt with a number of topics that Ambassador Soha Gendy answered with full transparency about Egyptian investments in Africa, services for Egyptians abroad, ways to cooperate with brothers and benefit from the Egyptian weight, the distinguished historical relations that Egypt enjoys, the importance of preserving the strategic depth in Africa, as well as initiatives to revive the roots. And benefiting from the communities that lived on the land of Egypt and promoting this type of tourism, which is unique to Egypt, as it is a meeting place for various civilizations since the dawn of history, referring to cooperation with the various communities that lived in Egypt, and investing in these soft powers.

At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Soha Gendi affirmed her keenness to present what the ministry is doing and clarify the strategy of work and communication with Egyptians abroad, explaining the importance of listening to all points of view and opinions that aim to serve Egyptians abroad, and implementing constructive proposals.
