Minister of Trade and Investment hails establishment of Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council

Minister of Trade and Investment Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasabi commended the decision of the Council of Ministers to approve the minutes of the establishment of the Saudi-Iraqi Coordinating Council, which enhances the opportunities for trade exchange and joint cooperation to improve relations between the two countries, stressing the kingdom’s keen desire to open all fields of cooperation with Iraq to serve the interests of both brotherly countries.

Dr. Majid al-Qasabi, who heads the coordinating council with membership consisting of a number of their ministers from relevant bodies, stressed that the Iraqi and Saudi peoples are one social fabric enjoying a common cultural heritage.

The Minister of Trade and Investment explained that ministers’ membership of this council reflects the great importance of strengthening relations between the two brotherly countries.
The Council aims to enhance communication between the two countries at the strategic level, deepen mutual political trust and open up new horizons of cooperation in various fields.
