The Kuwait-hosted conference that brings together parliament speakers from the Gulf region on January 8-9 will be the third major event to have taken place in the country, coming off a recent Gulf summit and the ongoing Arabian Gulf Cup football tournament, to which Al-Ghanim described as a “good omen.” He cited His Highness the Amir’s earnest desire to have the conference happen in Kuwait, saying it was met with unanimous agreement.
Kuwait’s chief lawmaker has announced that he would be meeting with his counterparts from all six Gulf nations at the upcoming conference.
