Represented by the Ministry of Information, the Sultanate took part in the 90th session of the Arab Media Permanent Committee, which was held at the Arab League HQs’ in Cairo yesterday.
Ali bin Khalfan Aljabri led the Sultanate’s delegation undersecretary of the Ministry of information.
The Committee discusses a number of items including the role of Arab media in combating terrorism and the recommendations of the 18th meeting of the permanent experts team on following the role of Arab media in combating terrorism.
The Committee also discusses the events for marking Baghdad as the Capital of Arabia Media 2017/2018.
The Committee will cover the development of the Palestinian issue, the pivotal and basic issue for the Arab League in order to maintain the Palestinian issue in general and Al Quds issue live in the minds of Arabs and Muslims.
The Committee will touch on the media plan for benefiting from social networking in ensuring synergy of all efforts to address illiteracy problem in the Arab world.
