SIS – President Abdel Fattah El Sisi arrived at Al Azhar International Conference Hall here on Monday 11/6/2018 to attend the Ministry of Awqaf’s celebration of Lailat al-Qadr (Night of Power – the night when the first verses of the Quran were revealed to Prophet Mohammed). The celebration includes honoring Quran memorizers from Egypt and world nations.
The president was welcomed by Caretaker Prime Minister Sherif Ismail, Prime Minister-designate Dr Mostafa Madbouli, Grand Imam of Al Azhar Dr Ahmed el Tayeb, Parliament Speaker Dr Ali Abdel Aal, Awqaf Minister Dr Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa, Minister of Defense and Military Production Sedki Sobhi and Mufti of Egypt Dr Shawqi Allam.
The event is also attended by a number of ministers, governors, ambassadors of some Arab and Islamic countries and public figures.
