The event, which is sponsored by the Egyptian Knowledge Bank and the Arabic edition of Scientific American by Springer Nature Research, aims to shed light on one of the most important academic and scientific successes of Egyptian scientists over the past 10 years, The great scientific discoveries of creatures have existed on the land of Egypt millions of years ago, including the dinosaur Mansoura Souras, one of the most important scientific discoveries announced in 2018.

Dr.. Hisham Salam, director and founder of Mansoura University Center for Fossil Excavations, said: “The dream of establishing a scientific and academic center for fossil and the formation of cadres of Egyptian scientists in this field has remained for me for 11 years. Finally we succeeded in forming a scientific school and publishing studies and discoveries of Egyptian researchers in the major periodicals Including the renowned Nature Journal. “

Dr. Salam added, “We hope that these efforts will contribute to the advancement of Egypt’s scientific status and the dissemination of the scientific culture in this field at the level of the Arab world. Our efforts will culminate in the establishment of a museum of natural world history.

“Vertebrate fossils mean organisms that lived before the appearance of humans before millions of years, including fossils that lived on the land of Egypt, pointing out that his journey to establish the center started with one unit and still maintained, and that his team had only two daughters. For his part, Minister of Education and Technical Education and Chairman of the Egyptian Knowledge Bank, said that the celebration held by the Egyptian Knowledge Bank and Springer Nature, with a large presence of scientists and public figures from Egypt and the Arab world, contributes to the support of scientific research and setting scientific knowledge. “The aim of the effectiveness is to shed light on the importance of vertebrate fossils in general, especially in light of the presence of Egyptian scientists who are making distinctive discoveries in this field, including the Egyptian dinosaur Mansura,” said Dalia Abdel Salam, editor of the website of the Arabic edition of Scientific American.

A science site is interested in covering up great scientific discoveries and simplifying science for the non-specialist reader in an attempt to create a third language that combines science and journalism. Dalia also stressed that Springer Nature’s sponsorship of the event represents one of the company’s objectives of transferring serious scientific knowledge to the Egyptian and Arab public.

On the sidelines of the celebration, an exhibition of some of the most important vertebrate fossils discovered in the desert of Egypt, some of which are more than 350 million years old, A discussion session was held on supporting scientific research in the field of vertebrate fossils.
