President Abdel Fattah El Sisi arrived at the Phosphatic and Compound Fertilizers Complex here on Wednesday7/8/2019.
The president is due to open the complex. He listened ahead of the inauguration ceremony to a detailed review about the complex from Chairman of Al Nasr Company for Chemicals Mokhtar Abdel Latif.
Abdel Latif explained that the project is aimed at promoting the value of Egyptian phosphate and turning it into phosphatic compound fertilizers.
The project is set up over an area of 400 feddans, he pointed out, adding that it includes nine factories and a massive store of raw materials.
Chairman of Al Nasr Company for Chemicals Mokhtar Abdel Latif said the project uses 500,000 tons of raw Sulphur annually.
Also, the project uses two million tons of raw phosphate to turn it into fertilizers, he pointed out.
The project site houses administrative and residential areas along with the financial, commercial and medical departments of the complex and many other facilities, he added.
He also said that the complex has six plants for the production of one million tons of azotic fertilizers annually including limestone ammonium nitrate which is being manufactured in Egypt for the first time.
