An official announced that Zamalek forward  has returned to  side .

Hefny kicked-off his professional career with El-Makkasa back in 2011 and seemed destined to greatness due to his incredible skill set and his eye for goal.

He then went on to join military-based side Talaa El-Geish where he stayed for another two years making 46 appearances while scoring three goals and providing eight assists.

His performances caught the eye of Cairo giants Zamalek who signed in the summer of 2014. His time in the White Castle was very successful as he was able to win a long awaited Egyptian Premier League title in his first season at the club.

The 33-year-old then went on to win three Egypt Cup, the 2017 Egyptian Super Cup against arch rivals Al Ahly and finally the 2019 CAF Confederation Cup.

However despite his undoubted talent and impact his persistent injuries made him go down the pecking order and as a result has signed for boyhood club Misr El-Makkasa.

The Fayoum-based side have just been eliminated from the Egypt Cup quarter-finalsafter losing to Zamalek 1-0. After finishing sixth last season in the league they will hope to keep up their good domestic form under new manager Ahmed Hossam Mido.
