President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Sunday8/12/2019 called for continuing efforts to develop the higher education sector and improving the Egyptian universities’ academic level, as well as promoting scientific performance.
During a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, Higher Education Minister Khalid Abdel Ghaffar and Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat, the president issued directives to develop a national project aiming at honing skills of the talented people in the academic and scientific field, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said in a statement.
The meeting reviewed a number of important issues, including a higher education and scientific research development plan, as well as the establishment of new private, governmental, international and technological universities in various governorates, the application of the e-testing system at universities, and the activation of the national strategy of artificial intelligence.
