Al-Ahly won a deserved victory over Moroccan Wydad with two unanswered goals in the match that brought them together this evening at the Mohamed V complex in Casablanca, in the first leg of the semi-finals of the African Champions League.

Mohamed Magdy Afsha scored for Al-Ahly in the fourth minute, and Ali Maaloul added the second goal in the 60th minute from a penalty kick, and Mohamed El-Shenawy succeeded in countering a penalty kick at the end of the first half.

With this result, Al-Ahly is close to qualifying for the final match, scheduled for the sixth of next November.

Al-Ahly will meet Wydad in the return match at Cairo Stadium next Saturday.
