Today, the work of the third session of the Arab-Indian Cooperation Forum (AICF) was held at the level of senior officials, through visual communication technology, under the joint chairmanship of Egypt (the current president of the League of Arab States Council at the ministerial level) and India, with the participation of senior officials from Arab countries, India, and the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States.

The Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Kingdom’s permanent representative to the League of Arab States, Osama bin Ahmed Noqli participated in the meeting.

In his speech to the third session of the Arab-Indian Cooperation Forum, Ambassador Noqli said that relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and India are growing rapidly and constructive cooperation in all fields.

As part of the Kingdom’s future plans to diversify the Saudi economy and reduce dependence on petroleum products, referring to cooperation agreements between the Kingdom and India in various fields, by aligning the Kingdom’s 2030 vision and programs to achieve the 13 vision with India’s pioneering initiatives, as well as establishing a “strategic partnership council” to support partnership between the two countries.

The Kingdom’s ambassador to Egypt praised the results of the recent Gulf Cooperation Council summit, the “Al-Ula Summit”, which was held recently, due to the presence of the real strong and common will of the leaderships, which resulted in the commitment of the states parties to support the unified Arab position in facing common dangers, and to strengthen cooperation in the face of any interventions In internal affairs, and combating terrorist entities and organizations that undermine their security and stability.

In his speech, Ambassador Usama Noqli praised the outcomes of the G20 summit hosted by the Kingdom last November, which resulted in the announcement of many initiatives aimed at strengthening international cooperation, supporting and reforming the global economic system and its prosperity in the service of humanity, in light of exceptional circumstances due to the repercussions of the virus pandemic,Corona/COVID-19.

Ambassador Noqli referred to the Kingdom’s affirmation of its firm position on the Palestinian issue, and support for the Palestinian people to establish their independent state on the borders of 67, with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the relevant international legal decisions and the Arab Peace Initiative.

Mr Noqli explained that regional interference in the affairs of the countries of the region threatens their security and stability, especially Iranian interference in the affairs of a number of countries, including its support for terrorist organizations and armed militias, the formation of criminal cells and their support with money and weapons, and this is evident in the Iranian intervention in Yemen through its agents from the terrorist Houthi militia. In addition to targeting the Kingdom with ballistic missiles manufactured in Iran.

The Kingdom’s ambassador to Egypt stated that the Kingdom’s policy always pursues the principle of advancing peaceful diplomatic efforts, which are based on solutions to crises in a way that preserves the sovereignty and independence of states in light of their national unity and territorial integrity, noting the success of the “Riyadh Agreement” concluded last December, which led to the formation of a national unity government of Yemenia to unify the Yemeni ranks and maintain its security and stability.

In their final statement, the participants in the meeting welcomed the completion of reconciliation between the Arab Quartet countries and the State of Qatar during the 41st GCC Leaders’ Summit, which was recently hosted by Al-Ula, and the efforts that have been made to that end.

They indicated the importance of strengthening cooperation and coordination mechanisms between the Arab and Indian sides in a way that serves common interests and enhances regional and international peace and security, and the importance of reaching political solutions to crises and issues in the Middle East region, especially the Palestinian issue, crises in Syria, Libya, Yemen, combating terrorism, and freedom. Navigation and maritime security, in accordance with the principles of international law.

The participants in the meeting called for the need to strengthen international and regional cooperation to confront the effects of the Corona pandemic, which imposed exceptional circumstances and unprecedented challenges facing the world, noting the coordination between India and the Arab countries in the fields of diagnosis and treatment of people with Corona.

Participants of the 3rd session of the Arab-Indian Cooperation Forum at the level of senior officials agreed on the speed of scheduling the joint activities of the forum, including the third session of the Arab-Indian Culture Festival, the symposium on Arab-Indian cooperation in the field of energy, the first session of the Conference of Arab and Indian University Presidents, the second session For a symposium on Arab-Indian cooperation in the field of media, and the sixth session of the Arab-Indian Partnership Conference.
