The decision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Jerusalem Committee, to send this urgent humanitarian aid came within the framework of the Kingdom of Morocco’s continuous support for the just Palestinian cause and its permanent solidarity with the brotherly Palestinian people.
This aforementioned aid for the benefit of the Palestinian population in the West Bank and Gaza Strip comes in the wake of the aggressive attack launched by the Israeli army against the population in the occupied Palestinian territories, which left dozens of civilians, including women and children, dead.
The Kingdom of Morocco places the Palestinian issue at the forefront of its concerns, as it remains faithful to its adherence to the achievement of a two-state solution living side by side in peace and security, through the establishment of a Palestinian state within the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
On this basis, the Kingdom of Morocco alone contributed within ten years to the Jerusalem House of Money with a financial value of $ 15 million, making it the largest supporter of the Jerusalem House of Money, or 73%.
For this reason, Morocco has been providing daily tangible support to Jerusalemite families trapped in their livelihoods and homes, and has also been providing daily support to Jerusalem schools until the battle for education, knowledge and science continues, and has also provided support for the restoration and protection of the homes of Jerusalemites from demolition and deportation, not to mention annual grants for the benefit of Jerusalemite students, and the organization Trips of Jerusalem pupils and students to Morocco as a right of children in camping.
He also built Palestine Airport in Gaza, built a university in Gaza, built a hospital in Gaza, and established field hospitals for months in Gaza, the last of which was the military field hospital that was established in the Gaza Strip in 2018, where in addition to the historical and balanced Moroccan diplomatic presence in the Palestinian issue, it also remains a field presence for the sake of Alleviate the suffering of the brotherly Palestinian people.
On the other hand, the Kingdom of Morocco, in a communiqué issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and African Cooperation and Moroccans residing abroad, condemned in the strongest terms the acts of violence committed in the occupied Palestinian territories, the continuation of which only deepens the gap, inflames resentment and further excludes opportunities for peace in the region.
