Secretary-General of UN & Dr. Al-Issa discuss how to confront hatred and protect worship places globally

The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Mr. Antonio Guterres, received the Secretary-General of the Muslim World League, President of the Association of Muslim Scholars and General Supervisor of the Forum for Civilization Communication, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, at the headquarters of the United Nations in New York.
Mr. Guterres welcomed the Secretary-General of the Association, then the two sides held an expanded meeting that dealt with the initiative presented by Dr. Muhammad Al-Issa to strengthen international efforts to confront hatred and protect places of worship around the world through diverse and effective programs, stressing that the tragedies that humanity has suffered and continues to suffer from steadily begin in all its cases. With a wrong thought that crystallizes in a bad word that boldly and defiantly launches towards the other while carrying within it the poisons of hatred. Rather, the matter went beyond the matter to the other’s dispute over his right to exist with respect and dignity, stressing that material civilizational progress lacked the required progress in common human values, and that leniency in the role entrusted with responsible institutions would set those values back and pave the way for the wicked, and the inevitable result of this would pay the price for all of humanity, whether in its global peace, or the harmony of its diverse national societies.
His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Muslim World League extended his thanks and appreciation to Mr. Antonio Guterres for his great support for the initiative that was presented in the presence, participation and support of the global ambassador, Mr. Ronald Lauder, who is the American activist around the world in building bridges and fighting hate. He also attended the meeting alongside the representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations. The High Commissioner for the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations, Mr. Miguel Angel Moratinos, who praised the idea of the initiative and the importance of supporting it.
