CELEBRATING Eid al Fitr, the “Jeddah Season 2022” has started in its second edition, in the “Jeddah Art Promenade” area, and will last for 60 days, including 2,800 days of activities, in 9 main areas; In the presence of a large number of Jeddah residents and visitors, who flocked to celebrate the season, enjoy various events and exciting live performances, and what distinguishes Jeddah as a permanent destination for tourism, entertainment and events in the region.
The launching activities of the season witnessed displays of drone formations that painted wonderful paintings in the sky of the city, and fireworks painted other formations to express the expressions of joy and happiness on the faces of visitors who filled the event area overlooking the waterfront in Jeddah, and Cirque du Soleil activities were launched with international shows. Variety in the circus area of King Abdullah Sports City, in the presence of a large number of visitors.
The Jeddah 2022 season brings this year a unique set of international events, artistic and theatrical performances that will be witnessed by the event sites, Arab and international art concerts, games and entertainment cities, in addition to the specialized exhibitions that will be witnessed in the season, as the season management was keen to invest all the elements of the tourist, historical, cultural and marine city of Jeddah. To diversify the options for the visitor and family members, and to create more opportunities for the sons and daughters of the country to participate in the season.
For the first time, there will be daily fireworks displays throughout the season in the “Jeddah Art Promenade”, and the Cirque du Soleil event will present an exclusive show for the Jeddah season for the first time, and 4 international exhibitions, 7 Arab plays, two international plays, and a number of Arab and international art concerts will be held. The season will also present, for the first time, 70 interactive experiences, more than 60 entertainment games, many marine programs and activities, and many surprises that will bring joy to the people and visitors of Jeddah.
For his part, Director General of Jeddah Season 2022 Nawaf Qumousti confirmed that this year’s Jeddah Season comes with a new and distinctive identity, and more diverse, widespread and diverse activities, including marine, cultural, artistic, entertainment and other activities, distributed over 9 main event areas, namely: Jeddah Art Promenade and Cirque du Soleil Jeddah Yacht Club, Jeddah Al-Balad, Jeddah Pier, Jeddah Jungle, Jeddah Superdome, Prince Majid Park, and City Walk, covering various parts of the city of Jeddah, catering to various desires, and suitable for all ages, to form in its entirety an exceptional state of joy and happiness for the people of Jeddah and its visitors During Eid Al-Fitr, it will last for two months.
In his statement on the occasion of the start of the 2022 Jeddah season, Qumousati explained that Jeddah Art Promenade, which witnesses the start of the season, is one of the 9 event areas, and coincides with its opening in the Cirque du Soleil area, which started its exciting international shows on the first day of Eid, and the rest of the season’s event areas will gradually open during The coming days, until the completion of the opening of all areas on May 17th.
In the context of his speech, the Director General of the Jeddah Season called on the people and visitors of Jeddah to visit the event areas and enjoy the offers presented, stressing that they work day and night to make them happy, and to meet their desires, through integration with various partners, so that the Jeddah Season 2022 is exceptional in terms of numbers and the size of the events.
