To support food security in Somalia.. KS relief, British Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office sign a joint statement

It is announced that the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Commonwealth and Development of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland signed, via videoconference, a joint statement to provide financial support to enhance food security for those affected by drought in Somalia at a value of $ 4 million. The statement was signed by His Excellency the Advisor at the Supervising Royal Court The General Director of the Center is Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabiah, and His Excellency the British Secretary of State for Development and African Affairs, Andrew Mitchell.

The Center and the Ministry will provide a financial contribution to the World Food Program in the amount of 4 million US dollars equally between them, benefiting 132,549 individuals.
Following the signing, Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah expressed his happiness that the Center provided joint support with the British Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office to support the efforts of the World Food Program to combat acute food insecurity and prevent famine in Somalia.
His Excellency explained that we can work together to save and improve the lives of thousands of people who are in dire need of assistance, stressing the commitment of the King Salman Relief Center, the humanitarian arm of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to its role in alleviating the suffering of vulnerable and needy communities around the world.
This financial support comes within the framework of the World Food Program response to enhance food security and prevent famine in Somalia.
