A Saudi team establishes a global center to provide technical services to Saudi companies and institutions in Silicon Valley

Eng. Abdul Rahman Al-Fouzan, with a group of Saudi competencies, took the initiative to establish a global advisory center to provide technical services and support Saudi companies and institutions to contribute to the development of the local economy.

Those in charge of the center work in the most prestigious companies that are at the heart of global technological innovation in Silicon Valley, California, USA, such as: Apple, Facebook, Amazon, Google, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stanford University, and the University of California.

Engineer Abdul Rahman Al-Fouz stated that one of the center’s tasks is to support institutions and agencies in building and developing high-performance computer solutions and services, developing various applications in the fields of machine learning and business data analysis, raising the level of technical standards, producing and evaluating requests for technical proposals according to technological trends and modern realistic solutions, and helping to attract The best talents for leading technical roles.

He explained that the center includes coverage and analysis of big data systems, artificial intelligence applications and the Internet of Things, in addition to preparing and evaluating feasibility studies.

Al-Fouzan noted the technological progress that the Kingdom is witnessing at a rapid pace in the fields of e-commerce, financial technology applications and delivery, which are becoming more mature, in addition to the significant growth in startups and venture capital funds.

He revealed a number of technical projects that he contributed to transferring and spreading awareness about, such as the Saudi Data Group and participation in the Homathon Award for measuring and monitoring social divergence in stores during the Corona virus crisis.

And about his first professional experience as the first Saudi engineer at Facebook, he continued to say: “During my last university year, I realized that the best way to start my career is to work in a leading company in Silicon Valley for several reasons: the presence of the best international competencies in my areas of interest in systems engineering and data analysis applications, and the company’s interest in continuous training and development programs that have had an effective role in raising the level of productivity and motivation.”

Engineer Al-Fouzan noted that, since his high school graduation, he received a scholarship from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology for a bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering from MIT University, which is ranked as the best university in the world in the global Qs ranking, in addition to his participation in the Saudi-American Business Forum, which dealt with Trade exchange opportunities and promising opportunities in various economic sectors in the Kingdom.
