Egypt shares the world’s celebration of the poet’s memory Pushkin

As many celebrations that took place on the territory of Russia and abroad, Cairo was one of these sites, where the Russian Language Day was celebrated, which coincides with the birth anniversary of the great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin.

Where the Russian House in Cairo, headed by Murad Gatin, celebrated the memory of the great poet by visiting his statue in the Freedom Park in Cairo and laying flowers in front of the statue, with the participation of Alexander Joubert, President of the Izhevsk State University of Technologies called Kalashnikov, Alexei Ryabichkov, Director of the International Educational Programs Department at the same university, and Nikolai Delbov, representative of the House of Russian Citizens in Moscow and Sharif Gad is the head of the Egyptian Association for Graduates of Russian and Soviet Universities.

The meeting was opened by Gatin, expressing his thanks to the Egyptian people who have all the love and appreciation for Russian culture and the Russian people, pointing out that the celebration of the great poet Pushkin does not come only with a Russian initiative, but also there is an initiative of the Egyptian Ministry of Culture to celebrate the poet.

Joubert indicated his happiness in representing the university and the residents of Izhevsk in participating in the Pushkin celebration in Cairo, which he is visiting for the first time, pointing out his pride in seeing with his own eyes the ancient Egyptian civilization.

The students of the Russian Language Department at Cairo University and the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Ain Shams University, delivered a collection of Pushkin’s poems in the Russian language, where the Russian delegation praised them.

Gad stressed that the Egyptian-Russian relations are based on a golden balance of joint cooperation, as Russia is the only country that participated in building 97 projects with Egypt.

On the other hand, Denis Bronnikov, Director of Russian Language Courses at the Russian House in Cairo, inaugurated a photographic exhibition entitled Traveling Inside Moscow with the Heroes of the Novel “Eugene Onegin”.

The academic lectures at the Russian House also included a number of lessons learned from the history of the great poet and the career of his literary creativity. At the international level, Ulyanovsk University in Russia celebrated Pushkin’s memory through an online conference in which representatives of the countries of Egypt, Sudan, Congo and Yemen participated, where the participants discussed the creations of Alexander Pushkin.
