Dr. Reda Hijazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, and Major General Khaled Abdel-Al, Governor of Cairo, were keen, this Thursday morning, to follow up on the conduct of the general secondary certificate exams for the academic year 2022/2023 (first floor), by inspecting the special committee held inside the Children’s Cancer Hospital 57357, where he is performing 29 male and female students took the exam in biology for the scientific section of science, pure mathematics (algebra and spatial geometry) for the mathematics section, and philosophy and logic for the literary section, in two committees, one for girls and the other for boys, and the student committee includes 15 students, 8 students in the literary section, and 7 students in the scientific section, while The female students’ committee includes 14 students, 7 students in the literary section and 7 students in the scientific section.

The minister stressed the creation of the appropriate atmosphere for our students and the availability of all means of comfort and support for performing the exams, in a manner that does not conflict with their treatment doses, while adhering to all the rules and regulations governing the examination process, wishing the students who perform the exams inside the hospital safety, speedy recovery, success and good luck.

The Minister also reassured the students of the level of the exam and the clarity of the questions, as they expressed their satisfaction with the level of the exam, and thanked the Ministry for its keenness to preserve their health and their future at the same time, and to grant them their right to treatment and education.

The Minister thanked the management of Children’s Cancer Hospital 57357 for coordinating and cooperating with the Ministry to hold exams for all educational levels from the fourth grade to high school, in order to preserve the future of sick children in the hospital, within the framework of providing integrated care for children with cancer and preserving their health, and not interrupting their studies to preserve on their future.

The minister praised the hospital’s full and continuous coordination with the Ministry of Education, before, during and after the end of the exams and until announcing the results of the students.

The minister also praised the hospital’s interest in preserving their academic achievement as a result of the long treatment period, which leads to a weakening of the student’s ability to absorb the academic curriculum after treatment. 2000 by providing a team of teachers to teach students who receive hospital treatment at all academic levels, and providing the necessary support for students in their studies, as well as providing scholarships for them in various private universities to help them start a new life and future like their colleagues.

For his part, the Governor of Cairo indicated that today is the end of one stage and the beginning of a new stage for students, wishing them all success in joining the colleges they desire and crowning their efforts and their parents with success.

The governor of Cairo saluted the determination and perseverance of the students who take the exams in the committees of Hospital 57357, despite the circumstances they are going through, praying to God to grant them a speedy recovery.

The governor of Cairo confirmed that the executive bodies in the governorate provided all facilities throughout the exam days, and all measures were taken to provide a calm and safe environment for students, teachers and all those working in monitoring, order and security work during the exam period, which contributed to the regularity of the exam process.

The governor of Cairo confirmed that the highest levels of protection and prevention were applied to students before, during and after exams.

The governor of Cairo indicated that the total number of high school students in Cairo this year amounted to 113,343 male and female students from 33 educational departments, distributed among 303 committees, including 5 special committees, 3 of them in Hospital 57357, and one in the Oncology Institute, including 25043 students in the Science Division, and 23,300 students. And a student in the science and sports section, and 58,521 students in the literary section, with a total of 106,864 students, in addition to 6,479 students from international schools.

During the tour, Dr. Reda Hegazy visited the student Muhannad Ahmed Abdel-Fattah in the sixth grade of primary school, where he instructed to take care of all the student’s tuition fees.

During the tour of the hospital, the Minister of Education and the Governor of Cairo were accompanied by Eng. Jihan Abdel Moneim, Deputy Governor for the Southern Region, Ayman Moussa, Director of the Directorate of Education in Cairo, Ahmed Abdel Moneim, Director of Public Relations Department, Children’s Cancer Hospital 57357, and Major General Mahmoud El Bahi, Advisor to the Executive Director for Governmental Affairs.
