The Red Sea International Film Festival announces opening of films for its 3rd session

Yesterday, the Red Sea International Film Festival announced the start of accepting applications for participation in its third session from Arab, Asian and African filmmakers and distributors, in addition to Saudi filmmakers to present their feature and short films until August 18, 2023, which will be held during the period from November 30 to December 9, 2023 AD.

  The festival’s film program includes 11 sections dedicated to showing selections from contemporary international and Arab cinema, as well as long and short Saudi feature films, experimental films, augmented reality and virtual reality works of a futuristic nature, and selected Saudi narrative, documentaries and short films, presenting the creators and pioneers of the new wave of cinema in kingdom to the world; To reflect the features of the nation’s cinema and the diversity and dynamism it carries.

  The films participating in the competition are competing for the prestigious Al Yusr Awards, including the Al Yusr Golden Award for Best Feature Film, which is valued at $100,000. Other awards include the Best Direction Award, the Jury Award, and the Al Yusr Golden Award for Best Short Film.

  The festival receives entries through the festival’s website in four main sections: The Red Sea Feature Film Competition, The Red Sea Short Film Competition, The New Saudi Cinema for long and short films, In addition to Masterpieces of the World, Treasures of the Red Sea, Visions of the Red Sea, The Red Sea Short Film Competition, And the Red Sea series, and finally the interactive cinema.
