Riyadh – The activities of the international auction of falcon production farms, organized by the Saudi Falcon Club at its headquarters in Malham (north of Riyadh) over a period of 21 days, were concluded amid wide international participation.
In its third edition, the auction achieved remarkable success, with an increase in sales of more than 218% compared to the previous edition.
In the current version, 642 falcons were sold for a total amount of more than 8 million riyals.
In its third edition, the auction hosted more than 39 leading production farms from 16 countries. most notably the United States, Germany, Spain, Britain and Austria, along with local production farms, to become the largest auction of falcons in the world.
The third edition of the auction was full of record deals, most notably the sale of the most expensive locally produced free falcon from the Nader Falcon Center for half a million riyals, exceeding the previous figure of 270,000 riyals.
Also, during the last night, a “free” chick falcon was sold from the Austrian “Houbara” farm, and its auction began with 40,000 riyals, and the auction continued until it was sold for 125,000 riyals.
The auction provided a reliable and unique platform for elite falcons from around the world, and falcons of breeds that have won international championships, by organizing a direct and fast competitive auction that brought together falconers, producers and falcon lovers from Saudis and various countries of the world.
The events of the auction were broadcasted through the TV channels broadcasting the event and the live broadcast of social media platforms.
It is noteworthy that the international auction of falcon production farms contributes to achieving the vision of the Saudi Falcon Club. Represented in leadership in the field of development and innovation in the hobby of falcons, their breeding, production and care, which is cultural and economic support, and a platform for promoting environmental awareness.
