KSA hosts World Environment Day 2024

The United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) announced that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) will host World Environment Day in 2024.

This came during a meeting between the Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), Ms. Inger Andersen, with the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Republic of Kenya, Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Salman, today, Tuesday, in the capital of Kenya, Nairobi.

The Kingdom’s hosting of World Environment Day comes to emphasize the vital and effective role of the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the environmental field, in accordance with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and the directives of the wise leadership – may God protect it.

World Environment Day is celebrated annually on June 5, and over the past five decades, this day has developed into one of the largest global platforms for environmental awareness.
