Bin Farhan and others make official visits to permanent members of SC for a ceasefire in Gaza

In implementation of the assignment decision issued by the extraordinary joint Arab and Islamic Summit in Riyadh on (November 11, 2023), His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, chairs the 32nd Arab and Islamic Summit today, Monday, November 20, 2023. A round of official visits that includes a number of permanent member states of the Security Council.

Participating in the Arab-Islamic movement are His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Ayman Al-Safadi, His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Mr. Sameh Shukri, and His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs. The Palestinian diaspora, Mr. Riyad Al-Maliki, His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, Hakan Fidan, His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Ms. Retno Marsudi, His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mr. Yusuf Maitama Togar, His Excellency the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, and His Excellency the Secretary of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Hussein Ibrahim Taha.

This move comes in the name of all member states of the League of Arab States and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, towards an immediate ceasefire on the Gaza Strip, and pressure to launch a serious and real political process to achieve a lasting and comprehensive peace in accordance with approved international references, and to take deterrent measures to stop the crimes of the colonial occupation authorities against humanity, while providing urgent relief corridors to avoid a humanitarian catastrophe in the besieged Gaza Strip, in addition to taking all measures in accordance with international law and international humanitarian law, to hold the Israeli occupation accountable for the blatant violations and crimes it is committing in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem. And against Islamic and Christian sanctities, most notably what the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque is being subjected to.
