His Excellency the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs (SFA), Member of the Council of Ministers and Envoy for Climate Affairs, Mr. Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, participated as a speaker in a dialogue session entitled: Bold steps towards sustainability in the Middle East and North Africa region, on the sidelines of the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum 2024, in the Swiss city of Davos.
During the session, His Excellency explained that the Kingdom calls for diversifying energy sources to respond to the growing global demand for energy, and also aims to be the largest exporter of energy, not just oil.
He stressed that the Kingdom is a responsible member of the international community, and works not only to follow standards, but rather to set them, and cooperates with other countries to reduce emissions and confront the challenges of climate change, and has a comprehensive approach to preserving the environment, protecting the planet, and reducing the effects of climate change, including adopting an economic approach.
