Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Mr Hissein Brahim Taha, today 15 February 2024, received a telephone call from the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr Hossein Amir-Abdollahian. The call witnessed discussions about the continuing Israeli military aggression against the Gaza Strip and the threats to expand to Rafah, which portends the deterioration of the existing humanitarian crisis and a determination to commit genocide against the Palestinian people.
Both sides underscored the need to continue and intensify political efforts to stop completely the military aggression and to ensure the delivery of humanitarian assistance to all parts of the Gaza Strip, particularly the northern parts where the civilian population is facing the danger of famine.
