The well-known Parliamentarian and writer Osama Sharshar asked the political diplomat, and writer, Mr. Ekmel Ihsanoglu, as well as Turkey, Arabs, Muslims to support Egypt’s candidate, Dr. Khaled Al-Anani to head the UNESCO Heritage, Culture and Science Organization, similar to what Mr. Ihsanoglu did in convincing the United Nations to accept Palestine’s membership in the UNESCO, during his presidency of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
This came at the participation of Mr. Sharshar in a cultural evening held by the Turkish Embassy in Cairo about the book “The Turks in Egypt” by the writer Ekmel Ihsanoglu at the residence of the Turkish Ambassador Salih Mutlu Şen this evening.
