The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Literature, Publishing and Translation Authority, inaugurated its pavilion participating in the London Book Fair 2024, at the Olympia London Exhibition Center in the British capital, London, which is held today and continues until March 14. The Authority’s pavilion provides an opportunity for communication between Saudi publishers and literary agents with… Their counterparts from various parts of the world, which enhances cultural dialogue and exchange of experiences, within the framework of the Authority’s keenness to enhance the presence of Saudi publishing houses and literary agents on the global scene.

  The Authority’s CEO, Dr. Muhammad Hassan Alwan, confirmed that the Authority’s participation receives great interest from the public and those interested in the book industry, as the Authority is introduced to many initiatives and programs that it implements in order to develop the publishing industry and enhance the cultural movement by supporting the presence of Saudi publishers and literary agents on the global scene.

  The Authority’s pavilion includes several activities, including the Literary Agent Initiative, the Publishing Houses Leadership Program, and the Tarjem Initiative. As a contribution to supporting and developing this vital sector in the Kingdom, and enhancing the role of its workers, out of its belief in the importance of the publishing industry as one of the tributaries of Saudi culture.
