The Presidency of Religious Affairs (PRA) of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque. “Mobaseroon” initiative to distribute the Holy Qur’an printed in Braille to people with visual disabilities in the Grand Mosque during the last ten days of the blessed month of Ramadan.
The initiative comes within the framework of the presidency’s plan to create a devotional atmosphere and maximize the religious experience for the blind group who came from around the world responding to the call of the Lord of the Worlds during the month of Ramadan, in order to help them recite the Holy Qur’an. Paying attention and taking care of this precious group and providing them with the best services.
The Presidency of Religious Affairs also created the electronic Qur’an device for the blind, which enables them to read, contemplate, and interpret the Holy Qur’an easily and conveniently, in the Braille language. The device encourages the blind to read the Holy Qur’an and strengthen their relationship with it, as the project makes it easier for the blind to read and contemplate the Holy Qur’an, especially since it It converts static Braille letters into animated ones, shaped electronically according to the verses of the Holy Qur’an, Arabic letters, and page. It is identical to the Qur’an of the King Fahd Complex, through a design that helps the blind to access the pages, surahs, and parts quickly and easily, and presents the full text of the Qur’an using technical standards for an information and digital system.
According to its plans during the month of Ramadan, the Presidency was keen to keep pace with the qualitative digital shift in accordance with the aspirations of the wise leadership – may God support it – and invested in modern technology, digital applications, and artificial intelligence. To improve the system of religious services for those who go and visit the Two Holy Mosques during the holy month of Ramadan, and to activate robotic devices that guide those who go and perform Umrah on how to perform the rituals, with simultaneous translation in several languages.
