This advanced level is in line with the Kingdom’s trend towards benefiting from data and artificial intelligence technologies under the guidance and support of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God protect him – the Crown Prince, Prime Minister and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority, to benefit from the uses of… These powerful and profound technologies are intended to serve humanity while establishing a global framework that supports international cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence.

SDAIA, since its establishment in 2019, has been the authority responsible for data (including big data) and artificial intelligence and the national reference in everything related to their organization, development, and dealing.

This step complements what the Kingdom achieved in 2023 when it ranked first in the world in the Government Strategy Index for Artificial Intelligence, which is one of the indicators of the global classification of artificial intelligence issued by Tortoise Intelligence, which measures more than 60 countries in the world, in addition to what the Kingdom achieved by obtaining… Ranked second globally in societal awareness of artificial intelligence according to the Stanford University International AI Index 2023.

These global levels are in line with SDAIA’s efforts to enhance the Kingdom’s position as a leading country in data and artificial intelligence, and empower the artificial intelligence system through capacity building, policy development, enabling investment and innovation, developing technical infrastructure, and stimulating the adoption of artificial intelligence in priority areas to serve national priorities.

Sdaya is devoting its efforts to achieving a set of strategic goals, including continuing to modernize the national data and artificial intelligence agenda, and implementing the data and artificial intelligence agenda at the national level to ensure the Kingdom’s advancement to leadership within the economies based on information, data, and artificial intelligence.
