Jazan University won two gold medals at the world level, during its participation in the Saudi inventions pavilion participating in the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions (GIEI) in its 49th edition.

  The university won two gold medals for the innovation of “Benzylidene 4, 2-Tiaz and Lidinedione” derivatives as compounds for the treatment of diabetes, presented by Assem Najmi from the College of Pharmacy, and for the innovation of a modified “dental crown” for nerve reconstructive treatment presented by Muhammad Mashaykhi from the College of Dentistry.

  The university’s acting president, Dr. Muhammad bin Hassan Abu Rasin, explained that the university’s achievement of this achievement, which is represented in winning two gold medals for the innovations of Dr. Muhammad Mashaykhi and Dr. Assem Najmi, reflects the university’s commitment and its continuous endeavor to support and encourage innovation and initiatives that support inventors and spread the culture of invention and innovation. He congratulated the winners. From employees of the university and Jazan education in this global event.

  The international exhibition witnessed the participation of (26) Saudi universities, including 19 government universities, two independent universities, and 5 private universities, which participated with 113 inventions, and the number of exhibitors in the pavilion reached 128 exhibitors in all scientific, theoretical, medical, and biological specializations.
