His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, participated in a session entitled “From North to South, from East to West: Rebuilding Confidence,” at the special meeting of the World Economic Forum, hosted by the capital, Riyadh.

At the beginning of his speech, His Highness stressed that the situation in Gaza is catastrophic by all humanitarian standards, indicating that what is happening is a complete failure of the current international political system to deal with this crisis.

His Highness the Minister of Foreign Affairs said: “Today the crisis has entered its seventh month and we are still in an endless discussion about whether enough trucks are entering Gaza or not. It is unreasonable and completely unacceptable.”

His Highness explained that most partners in the international community support the idea of a two-state solution, saying: “We are not only focusing on resolving the current crisis, but rather we want a solution to the larger problem to reach a real commitment to the two-state solution.”

In response to a question about the Kingdom’s role in the region, His Highness the Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed that the Kingdom is focused on spreading peace and security in the region and the world, and also contributing to increasing economic growth and enhancing global cooperation and innovation, in addition to preserving the climate and confronting all the challenges that the region and the world are going through.
