His Excellency Mr. Adel bin Abdulrahman Al-Asoumi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, congratulated the Federal Republic of Somalia, led by His Excellency President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, President of the Republic, on the occasion of its election as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) for the 2025-2026 session.
Al-Asoumi stressed that this step represents an added value to Arab diplomacy in the United Nations, which will reflect positively on the handling of Arab issues in this international organization.
The President of the Arab Parliament expressed his wishes to Somalia for success in its endeavors and efforts towards employing this seat in serving and defending Arab issues.
