During his tour today in the industrial zone south of Port Said, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister and his companions visited Akay ready-made garment factory.
The Prime Minister listened to an explanation from Mr. Mohamed Ibrahim El-Hafny, Factory Manager, who explained that the factory specializes in manufacturing and exporting ready-made garments, especially jeans, and is built on an area of about 22 thousand square meters, with an investment cost estimated at about 20 million pounds.
He added that the factory was implemented in partnership with a Turkish investor, and includes 1,500 workers, and exports, with a business volume of up to 35 million dollars annually, to markets including Turkey, Germany, the United States of America, Britain, Canada, China, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.
During his visit to the factory, the Prime Minister and his companions inspected the warehouses prepared for fabrics, and the production lines, including fabric straightening machines and the fabric finishing line, in addition to inspecting the printing department and the embroidery department. Dr. Mostafa Madbouly also viewed samples of the factory’s products.
Dr. Mostafa Madbouly praised this factory and other factories that contribute to providing job opportunities and exporting their products under the slogan “Made in Egypt”, thanking all the officials and investors of the factories he visited today.
