A cooperation agreement was signed between the Turkish aviation electronics manufacturer HAVELSAN and the Kader Factory, affiliated with the Arab Organization for Industrialization.
Under the framework of the cooperation agreement, unmanned ground vehicles will be produced at the Egyptian Kader Factory with technical and licensing support from the Turkish side.
The agreement was signed by Major General Dr. Amr Abdel Aziz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kader Factory for Advanced Industries, and Şevket Ünal, Deputy General Manager of Havelsan, on March 26.
The Turkish Ambassador to Cairo, Salih Mutlu Şen, witnessed the signing ceremony. Production at the Kader Factory is scheduled to begin this year.
Following the signing ceremony, Major General Amr Abdel Aziz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kader Factory, accompanied Ambassador Salih Mutlu Şen and Havelsan officials on a tour of several facilities that primarily produce armored vehicles, but also commercial motorcycles, golf carts, and furniture.
At the conclusion of the visit, Ambassador Salih Mutlu Şen emphasized that he recognized Kader’s factory as a leading manufacturer in Egypt in terms of its technology and quality. He expressed his belief that this cooperation between Havelsan and Kader’s factory would be the first step, and that it would continue to benefit both countries.
