On a wonderful Ramadan night, during the closing ceremony of the 11th annual Tahbeer Award for the Holy Quran and its Sciences 2025, His Eminence Grand Mufti Sheikh Rawi Gainuddin, Chairman of the Religious Administration of Muslims of Russia, was honored. The award was presented by His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and patron of the award.
It was emphasized that the Tolerance Award was awarded to His Eminence Grand Mufti Sheikh Rawi Gainuddin in recognition of his significant efforts in promoting sublime human values through his religious initiatives in Russia and the world. This well-deserved honor is the culmination of his honorable career in spreading the tolerant teachings of Islam and promoting the principles of tolerance and coexistence, reflecting his pioneering position in serving Islamic and humanitarian causes.
The closing ceremony was attended by a number of political and social figures, religious elites, and several ministers from the UAE community. The competition was attended by 52,000 participants from 103 countries, reflecting the global interest in the Quranic recitation, memorization, and study award. It’s worth noting that the UAE Tolerance Award for His Eminence Grand Mufti Sheikh Rawi Gainuddin, Head of the Religious Administration of Muslims of Russia, follows the Grand Award he received last year when he was named African Personality of the Year in recognition of his significant efforts in spreading the values of tolerance and love.
