The Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Saleh bin Eid Al-Hussaini, extended his greetings and appreciation to Saudi women, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, which falls on March 8 of each year, expressing his pride and appreciation for the honorable successes they have achieved in various fields, which have made them a fundamental partner in achieving the Kingdom’s vision and aspirations for a prosperous and sustainable future for the Saudi people.
Ambassador Al-Hussaini said: “Saudi women are living an unprecedented historical phase of empowerment with exceptional support and generous care from His Majesty the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister – may God protect them.”
Al-Hussaini continued: “Saudi women have crafted inspiring success stories in various fields that were challenging in the past, achieving great leaps in the corridors of politics and diplomacy, the world of finance and business, and the fields of science, space, culture, sports and arts, to occupy the highest positions and the highest levels of leadership inside and outside the Kingdom.”
The Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques noted the increase in the percentage of women’s participation in the Saudi labor market to 36%, which exceeds the goals of Vision 2030, to become a pivotal element in the equation of comprehensive development, thanks to the supportive policies and legislation that removed obstacles to their active participation in building the nation.
At the end of his speech, Ambassador Al-Hussaini paid tribute to Saudi, Arab and international women on the occasion of their international day, stressing that women are the makers of change and the cornerstone in building civilizations. He also expressed his deep gratitude to the wise leadership for its unlimited support for empowering Saudi women, who have today become a role model in giving and achievement, and a symbol of determination and persistence in the process of building the nation.
