Ambassador Mohammad Hosein Soltani-Fard, Head of Iran’s Interests Section in Egypt, confirmed that more than 80% of the outstanding issues between Tehran and Cairo have been resolved, amid ongoing intensive consultations regarding regional developments.
Soltani noted that the recent visit by Iran’s Minister of Tourism to Egypt included negotiations on launching direct tourist flights, with the agreements expected to be implemented soon.
He described the meeting last year between Presidents Pezeshkian and El-Sisi as a pivotal moment in the normalization of relations between the two countries.
