The Embassy of India in Cairo is pleased to announce the “Yoga at Iconic Place” Contest as part of the celebrations marking the 11th International Day of Yoga. This unique initiative invites Yoga enthusiasts across Egypt to showcase their passion for Yoga by performing a Yoga posture (Asana) at a culturally or historically iconic location in Egypt.
Contest Details:
Participants are invited to submit a clear and recent photograph of themselves performing a correct Yoga pose on a Yoga mat at a prominent Egyptian landmark, such as:
- The Pyramids of Giza
- Cairo Citadel
- Bibliotheca Alexandrina
- Karnak Temple
- Or any other well-known or culturally significant site in Egypt
The Yoga posture should exemplify the values of discipline, balance, and serenity—the very essence of Yoga.
Submission Period:

Evaluation Criteria:
- Creativity of the composition
- Correctness and elegance of the Yoga posture
- Aesthetic quality of the photo
