EU Commissioner for the Mediterranean, Dubravka Šuica, is set to participate in the High-Level Conference on the Question of Palestine and the Two-State Solution, taking place at the United Nations Headquarters in New York starting Monday.
Representing the European Union, Commissioner Šuica will reaffirm the EU’s unwavering support for a two-state solution, underscoring it as the only viable path toward a just, lasting, and sustainable peace in the region. She will spotlight the EU’s ongoing humanitarian efforts on the ground, and its firm backing of a reformed and revitalized Palestinian Authority as the legitimate future government of a sovereign Palestinian state.
Šuica will also engage in critical discussions on post-conflict reconstruction, contributing to international dialogues on “the day after” and the global role in Gaza’s recovery and rebuilding process.
