His Excellency Suresh K. Reddy, Ambassador of India to Egypt, reaffirmed the depth of historic ties binding the two ancient civilizations, describing Egypt and India as nations that share not only memories of struggle against colonialism and terrorism but also a vision of a common future.
Ambassador Reddy praised the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, noting his keenness to advance political cooperation with India across multiple fronts—particularly in countering terrorism and dismantling radicalism.
He emphasized that both countries are working hand-in-hand in diverse sectors, opening new prospects in renewable energy, education, and technology. Touching upon India’s healthcare achievements, he highlighted that the country has earned the title “the world’s pharmacy,” supplying more than 65% of global vaccine requirements under the auspices of UNESCO and WHO.
The envoy also underscored the cultural richness of both nations, calling for stronger cultural exchange as a bridge of mutual understanding. He hailed the Grand Egyptian Museum as “the project of the century,” extending congratulations to the Egyptian government and people for safeguarding the heritage of humanity.
