“Bollywood by the Sea: Alexandria Welcomes the Colors of Indian Cinema”

The Embassy of India in Cairo, in partnership with Egypt’s Ministry of Culture, will bring the magic of Bollywood to Alexandria through the Indian Film Festival, set to take place on Wednesday, 10 September 2025 at the Anfoushy Cultural Palace.

This cultural evening will showcase two acclaimed Indian films, reflecting the richness, diversity, and emotional resonance of Indian cinema:

🎬 Khali Peeli6:00 pm
A high-energy action-romance directed by Maqbool Khan, blending drama, comedy, and the pulse of Mumbai’s streets. Starring Ishaan Khatter, Ananya Panday, Jaideep Ahlawat, Satish Kaushik, and Manoj Tiwari.

🎬 RRR8:30 pm
The global cinematic sensation that merges action, drama, and revolutionary spirit. Featuring NT Rama Rao Jr, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn (cameo), and Olivia Morris.

Through this festival, the Indian Mission seeks to deepen cultural ties and foster mutual understanding between Egypt and India. Bollywood—famed for its storytelling, music, and vibrant emotions—offers audiences a unique lens into India’s traditions and modern narratives.

The festival forms part of the Embassy’s ongoing cultural diplomacy efforts, nurturing people-to-people connections between two of the world’s oldest civilizations.

📽️ Admission is free, with films subtitled in Arabic, on a first-come, first-served basis.
