In a gesture of deep diplomatic kinship, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, held a telephone conversation with Egypt’s Foreign Minister, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, exchanging views on pivotal matters of bilateral relations and regional developments, with particular concern for the grave humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Both ministers reviewed ongoing diplomatic consultations among Arab and Islamic nations in New York, emphasizing the shared pursuit of an immediate and lasting ceasefire, unhindered humanitarian access, and collective initiatives for enduring peace in Gaza.

Senator Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast support for Egypt’s and other regional efforts, welcoming the recent response by Hamas to the proposed peace plan—an opening that rekindles hope for an end to the bloodshed and the dawn of stability.

In a spirit of cooperation, Senator Dar extended an invitation to Dr. Abdelatty to visit Pakistan, which the Egyptian Foreign Minister graciously accepted. Both sides agreed to remain aligned and engaged, reinforcing their joint commitment to achieving a just and lasting peace for the people of Gaza.
