6th September is engraved in our nation’s soul as a day of valor, unity, and unwavering resolve. Sixty years ago, our courageous Armed Forces, with the steadfast support of the people, thwarted enemy aggression and proved that Pakistan is a resilient nation—ever capable of safeguarding its sovereignty and territorial integrity. The indomitable spirit of 1965 still breathes within us, and once more, in the recent Marka-e-Haq, our Armed Forces and our people stood together like a solid iron wall (Bunyan-um-Marsoos) against external hostility.

Our Army, Navy, and Air Force, under the strategic vision of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, have raised the standards of professionalism, advanced combat skills, and resolute strength—shattering the arrogance of the enemy and setting new benchmarks of excellence.

We bow our heads in tribute to our gallant Shuhada who sacrificed their lives for the sanctity of our homeland, and salute our Ghazis, whose courage remains a torch for future generations.

While Pakistan remains committed to peaceful coexistence and constructive engagement with the world, we cannot ignore the persistent provocations from India and the shifting regional realities. We shall continue to strengthen and modernize our defence, while confronting the twin threats of state-sponsored terrorism and foreign proxies that aim to destabilize us.

Through sacrifice and perseverance, our Armed Forces and law enforcement agencies have dealt heavy blows to the scourge of Fitna-e-Khawarij and Fitna-e-Hindustan. The nation stands united behind them until the mission is fully accomplished.

On this sacred day, we also reaffirm our unwavering solidarity with the oppressed people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK), who have endured decades of brutal state terrorism. Their struggle for freedom cannot be silenced by force. Likewise, we strongly condemn the ongoing atrocities in Palestine, and call upon the international community to halt Israeli aggression, protect civilians, and ensure uninterrupted humanitarian aid for Gaza.

We recognize that national defence is inseparable from economic stability. Rising above personal differences and working for the collective good is the only path to lasting prosperity and true self-reliance.

On this Defence and Martyrs Day, let us renew our pledge to Quaid-i-Azam’s timeless principles of Faith, Unity, and Discipline, and strengthen our resolve to build a secure, united, and prosperous Pakistan.
