With words filled with empathy and conviction, Ambassador Salih Mutlu Şen, Turkey’s ambassador to Egypt, delivered a moving message to the people of Palestine, reaffirming Ankara’s steadfast support for Gaza amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

“We want Gazans to return to their homes — not to leave their homeland,” he said earnestly.
“Palestine belongs to the Palestinians. It is their history, their memory, and their right.”

The Ambassador announced that Turkey’s first humanitarian aid ship is already on its way to the Port of Arish, carrying essential medical supplies, food, and relief materials destined for the people of Gaza.

Şen expressed deep appreciation to Egypt for its vital humanitarian and diplomatic role, especially in facilitating the delivery of aid and hosting coordination efforts through the Rafah crossing, a lifeline for millions.

He emphasized that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a major contribution to the ceasefire efforts carried out by Egypt, Qatar, and the United States, underscoring Ankara’s dedication to regional peace and stability.

“President Erdoğan worked tirelessly with our brothers in Egypt, Qatar, and the United States,” Şen explained.
“His vision and determination helped bring about this ceasefire — a light of hope in a long night of suffering.”

The Ambassador reflected emotionally on the human significance of the truce:

“For us, this ceasefire has come as an Eid — a blessed moment of peace after so many tears and losses.
We pray that it becomes a lasting peace, one that allows Gazans to rebuild their homes and live again beneath the shade of their olive trees.”

Şen reaffirmed that Turkey stands firmly by the Palestinian people, pledging continued humanitarian aid and diplomatic efforts to ensure lasting stability and justice in the region.

“The heart of Turkey beats with Gaza,” he concluded.
“When peace blossoms in Palestine, humanity itself finds its reflection.”
