Poetry: Ashraf AboArafe
When trust was crowned and duty called aloud,
The flag arose, dignified and proud.
A decree was born, and from its noble line
A nation spoke through choice, both just and fine.
Tamim, who knows the measure of the brave,
Bestows command on those the loyal save.
Tareq Al-Ansari—when his name is said,
Resolve and honor quietly are wed.
Ambassador of Qatar, not rank alone,
But pledge of state, in word and stance well-shown.
Through you, to Canada, a hand is cast,
From roots of glory to a future vast.
Proceed, for faith is written in your eyes,
A message firm, no passing years defies.
And seek from God the guidance to endure,
For from His grace come judgment strong and sure.
Blessed be this charge, this noble trust to carry—
For trust finds voice when named Tareq Al-Ansari.
