Street workers at the Barisal bus station held a protest to denounce the brutality of the U.S. military operation that led to the alleged kidnapping of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores nearly two months ago. The demonstrators called for their immediate release and return to Venezuela.
Dr. M. Jahangir Khan, President of the Bangladesh Tri-Continental Solidarity Campaign, recited a powerful poem condemning what he described as the illegal and inhuman aggression behind the capture of Maduro and his wife. The protest, organized in solidarity with the Venezuelan people, emphasized opposition to foreign intervention and support for national sovereignty.
The demonstration was led by Mozzamel Huq Firoz, a learned lawyer and Vice President of the Bangladesh Tri-Continental Solidarity Campaign for Venezuela, who urged continued worldwide advocacy for the leaders’ release.
