Minister o.Badr Abdel Aati, Minister of Foreign ffairsand Immigration, received on Sunday, October 13, Mr. “Dimitris Copelouzos”, the owner and chairman of the board of directors of the “Copelouzos” group of companies concerned with implementing the electricity interconnection project between Egypt and Greece GREGY. Minister Abdel Aati stressed the interest that Egypt attaches to the electricity interconnection project between the two countries in light of the distinguished bilateral relations between Egypt and Greece.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed that the partnership between the two countries includes important pivotal sectors, including the energy sector, specifically the field of electricity interconnection, which contributes to achieving energy security for Europe and achieves the common economic interests of both sides, especially since Egypt continues to implement major projects to generate new energy from solar and wind energy. Dr. Abdel Aati also stressed the importance of quickly starting the implementation of the electricity interconnection project between the two countries, which reflects the strength of the partnership between Egypt and Greece and achieving mutual benefits.
