Doha – On the sidelines of the Arab-Islamic Summit in Doha, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif described his meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi as “a wonderful encounter.”
Sharif strongly condemned what he called Israel’s reckless and escalating aggression, while praising Egypt’s proactive diplomacy during this critical juncture, particularly its vital role in delivering humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.
Both leaders agreed that unity within the Islamic world is essential to hold Israel accountable and to safeguard regional peace and stability.
The talks also touched on the positive trajectory of bilateral ties. Sharif and El-Sisi reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening Pakistan–Egypt relations, especially in the fields of trade, investment, and health cooperation.
