KSRC rehabilitates Al-Manar integrated kindergarten for the deaf in Aden and distributes bread to refugees in North Lebanon

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center has rehabilitated the Al-Manar Integrated Kindergarten building affiliated to the Association for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Deaf in the Mansoura District in Aden Governorate, as part of the activities of the Response to the Needs of Local Capacity Development Project to teach literacy students and people with disabilities.

The rehabilitation of the kindergarten building included restoring the entire building, providing classrooms with school tables, providing educational means and supplies and office equipment represented by computers and their requirements. The activities also included the implementation of individual sessions to rehabilitate the deaf and raise the abilities’s teachers and implement awareness campaigns. During the event, students with disabilities visited the Al-Manar integrated kindergarten with specialists in the educational sessions to measure the extent to which they benefited from the project.

Adviser to the governor of Aden for district affairs, Abdul Hakim al-Shaabi, thanked the King Salman Relief Center for its efforts in the rehabilitation project of Al-Manar Kindergarten, which is an important center for deaf and dumb children.

For his part, Osama Bagadi, Director of the Response to the Needs of Local Capacity Development Project for Teaching Literacy Students and People with Disabilities, stressed that this event comes from the standpoint of responsibility towards the deaf segment, stating that the project will have a tangible impact on developing the capabilities of the target audience. This comes within the framework of humanitarian and relief projects provided by the Kingdom, represented by the Center, aimed at strengthening the role of educational and professional institutions in brotherly Yemen, and improving the level of services provided to people with special needs.

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center continued the implementation of the third phase of the Al-Amal Charitable Bakery project in the Akkar Governorate and Miniyeh District in Lebanon, where the project distributes 20,000 bundles of bread daily to needy families from Syrians, Palestinians and the host community residing in northern Lebanon, benefiting 10,000 families, an average of two bundles for every family.

This comes within the framework of the humanitarian and relief efforts provided by the Kingdom, represented by the Center, to help refugees in their various locations.
